Blizzard Make First Off-Season Transaction By Acquiring Lesage From Flyers June 10, 2003
The OCN Blizzard made their first trade of the 2003 off season by acquiring the CHA playing rights to 17 year old goaltender Marc Lesage from the Winkler Flyers to complete the trade made early last season for goaltender Matt Neufeld. Lesage played 9 games for the Flyers last year and had a 6-2 record with a 3.21 GAA and a .870 save percentage. Lesage started the season with the WHL's Calgary Hitmen before being sent down to the Flyers early this year. Lesage's future with the Blizzard is uncertain as he is expected to try out for the Hitmen once again this year.
