The
OCN Blizzard completed a three way deal today with the
Dauphin Kings and the Estevan Bruins.
The
Blizzard have traded veteran defenseman Garrett Hildebrandt
to the Dauphin Kings in exchange for the MJHL rights to
20 year old forward Jason Butler and 18 year old goaltender
Francis Quintal.
The
Blizzard then traded rookie forward Chris Hammett to the
Estevan Bruins for the CHA playing rights of Butler and
Future Considerations.
Hildebrandt
played the past three seasons with the Blizzard. In 177
games with the Blizzard he had 15 goals and 58 assists
along with 106 PIM.
Hammett
was entering his rookie season with the Blizzard. His
only game with the Blizzard was Saturday's 3-3 tie with
the Swan Valley Stampeders which he picked up 0 points
with 7 PIM.
Stats
for Quintal are currently unavailable but he did suit
up for Dauphin when they visited the GLMC on September
12 in which he played the second period giving up 1 goal
on 14 shots.
Butler
had 11 goals and 11 assists last season with the Bruins
along with 172 PIM in 55 games. Butler joins Mark Wallmann,
Paul Wallmann, and Jared Lang who all come from Souris,
MB.
